Hello my lovelies 🙂
This is a bit of an early post because I went to the gym this afternoon and I’m feeling quite sore so I’ve decided to take some time off work because my concentration levels when I’m in pain are pretty poor!
I’ve been doing some blog reading and this is what has brought around today’s post.
For those of you that don’t read Julie’s blog over at Savvy Eats you need to get yourself over there now. She has gorgeous photos and really lovely content, she has one of the best positive outlooks on life you’ll ever come across!
One of my favourite of her ideas is her “It’s the Little Things” concept where she regularly posts the little things in her life that are having a positive impact on her. She is currently doing a serious called “50 Days of the Little Things” and I love it so I’ve decided to join in 🙂
So here are my little things for today:
- This morning Trelawney brought me the Observer Food magazine because there is a certain someone on the cover… I love Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall! I’ve watched all of his programs and at home we have several of his books. He has such a down-to-earth manner and he campaigns for things I really believe in. Plus his homely recipes (particularly the lovely autumnal ones) are fantastic.
- The gorgeous Autumn weather. It’s lovely outside today. Walking across campus to go to the gym was just the breath of fresh air that I needed. I adore the colours of the leaves, the golds, the reds and the browns and I love the crisp feel in the air.
- Going to the gym – it really feels so good to be going to the gym again!
- My lovely warm slippers. So so cozy in this colder weather 🙂
- My wonderful, gorgeous, luxurious fountain pen. It was a very special leaving present from my parents and it is just an absolute joy to write with! I love it and every time I hold it I’m reminded of my lovely mother and father and it makes me smile :-).
I love your shoes!!! One of my “little things” in life right now is every second I spend in the kitchen 🙂
Ahh nothing quite like getting back into the swing of things at the gym! Your slipper shoes look so toasty and the pen is a great way to stop porcrastinating and get started with assignments 😉 One of my little things is the fact my printer is working now – such a relief!
I looveee snuggling up in cozy pants and slippers on a cold day!! This will be something I thrive on for the next few months!
I love this weather!! It’s so nice. Definitely cause for a smile! One of the little things that made my day awesome was finding all the holiday clif bars at the supermarket!
I love the Observer Food magazine! In fact, I love all the Observer magazines. I have a stack of them next to my bed at this very moment :] Those slippers are amaze! Where are they from?
I love this idea! I’m loving- running, sparkly nail polish, sleeping late on a Sunday, day dreaming 🙂
Welcome to the 50 Days of the Little Things!! And thank you so much for your kind words about my blog. 🙂
The little things I’m liking at the moment are is the warm Spring weather, afternoon naps and reading a good book!
What a great little series, I have a list that I keep of all the little things that make me happy, its so useful to look at when I need a lift!
My little things are my homemade raw choco balls that I enjoy every afternoon at work, Norah Jones music when i get home from work and relax, a fresh baby coconut drink from the fruit stall in front my house….those things make my day at the moment.
I am really looking forward to this series… I need to be remembered about the positive things in my life, rather than being a downer much too often
aww this is awesome and totally made my morning. my little things are hot cups of tea, long walks with friends, and little glimmers of sunshine on cloudy days!
I love writing with fountain pens – something about it is so luxerious and I’m sure that it must increase my intelligence 🙂
You know – I just won a major contest that was so big for me, I forgot about all the little things. Thanks for the reminder. I love the Fall scenes, the seasonal aromas, the feeling of Halloween in the air. Not sure, but writing them down makes them seem like big things.
What a fun series! and ohmygoshh, your slippers are so adorable and cozy looking! Little things are really what make our days so awesome 🙂
